IT Security Analyst

Our client, a world leader in email and web content security, based in Berkshire, is looking for a 1st line IT Security Analyst to join their international team.

This position offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in providing day to day administration of the Information Security Management Systems within the organization, in addition to the admin and maintenance of enterprise systems, auditing and reporting of systems and applications.

The ideal candidate for the role will have a strong knowledge of security and networking technologies combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

*Actively monitoring and supporting internal and external systems infrastructure systems (incident & problem management) liaising with colleagues in regional locations when required.
*Advising and supporting the IT Security Manager with defining specific information security controls and policies.
*Leading the internal information security awareness program and ensuring all staff achieve annual accreditation.
*Compiling comprehensive audits of potential risks and threats.
*Developing general and detailed documentation describing system specifications and operating instruments.
*Carrying out security assessments in relation to projects and change management.
*Participating as a Service Desk support team member when required, resolving client side issues.
*Supporting Business Continuity processes (back-ups, replication etc….)
*Liaising with third party vendors when required.
*Participating in out of hours support coverage 1 week a month.
*Other similar responsibilities to the above that can be discussed on request!

Technical knowledge

*At least one professional experience implementing and managing core Microsoft Stack (MCSE equivalent)
*Automation tools and applications
*Various scripting technologies (Bash, Perl, Python, Shell)
*Experience administering and supporting virtualization platforms ( VMWare and Hyper-V)
*Experience implementing and managing Linux Operating Systems.
*Managing Cloud Solutions ( IaaS, Azure, AWS)
*Experience managing data centre related technologies ( SAN's, Switches, VLANs, Routers, Servers, Firewalls).
*Able to demonstrate an understanding of ISO2700 1:2 and information security best practices.
*Able to understand ITIL principles.
*Experience managing firewalls and other security related software/devices.

Desirable skills/experience

*CompTIA security or equivalent certification
*CCNA qualification or other Networking qualifications.
*Virus protection solutions.
*Mobile Device Management.
