German speaking QA Specialist

Are you a German speaker looking for an entry level position in the Translation industry? Calling all avid gamers- this could be your dream role.

I'm working alongside one of the industry leaders in the Gaming Industry to onboard a German speaker for their Windsor office who is keen to shape the publication of content for the German market. A fantastic opportunity to work in a creative environment with the added bonus of a casual dress code at work and exclusive access to company event days for game launches.

Your main duties will include (but are not limited to):
*To quality test software before release
*To ensure in-game language quality adheres to internal criteria
*To screen all software related materials in test
*To provide translation of in-game text company content into German
*To test or evaluate software as and when required

Skills required:
*Fluency (both written and spoken) in German to mother tongue standard
*Excellent command of both written and spoken English
*High level of competency in working with computers and particularly MS Office
*Education to degree level
*Previous translation experience preferred but not essential
*Personal interest in games and understanding of gaming terminology preferred but not essential

About me: I’ve always wanted a career that centered around working with people and one that presented me with new challenges every single day. Learning a language is so much more than the words on a page because you also find out a lot about the culture attached to it. I started studying Spanish at school and enjoyed it immensely from the offset, involving myself in two Spanish drama productions and choosing to continue learning it until the end of Sixth form. Having family and friends based in Italy allows me to travel there regularly, taking full advantage of the wonderful cuisine every time I go!

I would say that my  main hobby is lacrosse. Training/competing still occupies a lot of my spare time.

If I were a famous person, I would be: Adele – her voice is amazing and she’s so down to earth
