Euro London Appointment's renowned client, a pioneer in in-vitro clinical laboratory diagnostics, is currently looking for an experienced, innovative and consultative Software Architect for their French office near Dijon, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. This is a superb opportunity to join a cutting-edge diagnostics solutions provider transforming how clinical testing is carried out across France and globally. As part of their multi-year project to upgrade their software package for newly developed diagnostics devices, our client is looking for the Software Architect to ensure high-level design and implementation for this complex software and related integration with their analyser hardware. The new Software Architect will be responsible for the design and implementation of the analyser software package which is developed in .NET using Agile methodologies.In close association with the Project Manager the position will involve guiding the outsourced software house retained for the project to ensure adherence with the agreed architectural framework. In addition to the core responsibilities above you will act as an interface between the internal Marketing /Voice of the client team and the Software Engineers, translating design ideas into functional specifications which can be developed by the engineering teams. You will own the solution design and architecture for end to end solutions and contribute to all required phases in the development lifecycle and running of this new service. *Take on the role of Technical Lead for our client's new software package, working in close association with the engineering teams , Product Managers, and other relevant parties to set out best practices and tooling. *Design and develop architecture that can be upgraded and evolved over time. *Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate the needs into functional specifications for technology solutions and help engineering teams to build and document solutions in a scalable, consistent and secure way. *Ensure that outsourced software house follows architectural principals. Have sufficient overview of their work and solutions documentation to ensure the company can maintain the software internally in the future. *Build strong relationships across the business and act as a technical expert for colleagues in support and product teams and lead conversations to ensure collaboration. Skills, Knowledge and Experience required Qualifications *A university degree ( minimum License /Bachelors) degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent work experience. Skills and knowledge *Excellent communication and collaboration skills. *Fluent French and English and developed oral and written communication skills. *A strong consultative mindset with the ability to influence key project stakeholders. *Demonstrated enthusiasm and experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers. Technical skills *At least one long-term experience in software design /architecture experience is required. *Significant experience in .NET development. *Experienced working in an Agile/Scrum environment. *Experience with WPF applications. *Strong skills with SQL/Entity framework. *Experience of using modern software development toolsets, including DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery. *End to end solution design and architecture experience. *Cyber Security knowledge. *Experience of software projects in a FDA regulated environment is beneficial. *Experience in medical devices development is highly beneficial. *Previous experience in projects involving touch screen UI is appreciated.
