Our client, a multinational company, is looking for a bilingual French/English-speaking Financial Controller for their site in Marseille, 9th district.

You will develop, interpret, and implement financial planning and analysis concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the closing, budgeting, and reporting processes.

You will manage financial control for the R&D site in France. English is essential for communication with the headquarters in the US.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-of-month closings (GL entries) and prepare monthly analyses of results compared to forecasts and the plan.
  • Reconcile FR GAAP / US GAAP standards; prepare the general meeting and the annual closing of the legal entity's accounts in connection with E&Y.
  • Prepare and send the royalty calculation for the business unit quarterly and annually, obtain OPCO approvals. Use continuous improvement on the current royalty process to streamline expanding activities across multiple sites.
  • Analyze and comment on results on key performance indicators daily, weekly, and monthly, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Provide reporting support to department managers at the R&D and production site, including workforce tracking, expense forecasting, and review of actual results.
  • Support local site management in analyzing CAPEX investment requests, R&D projects, and expense management.
  • Establish site cost prices, analyze PPV, review BOMS and engineering routings, lot sizes, and Kanban updates.
  • Analyze and calculate E&O reserve, Cycle Counting, prepare and oversee inventory in connection with logistics.

 

Essential requirements for this position:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field
  • Experience in financial control: in preparing forecasts and producing financial and operational reports, in developing cost prices in an ERP, and in writing business performance management reports (e.g., BPC, Hyperion)
  • Ability to work in both English and French
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Access, Word, PowerPoint) are required
  • Previous experience with Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence SAP, or equivalent

 

Salary: €40K - €55K + 5% variable
