Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

I am partnering with a global market research agency, who are looking for a Business Development Manager to be responsible for their media & marketing agency clients in their key market, Germany. Their main product is a market intelligence platform (SaaS) that helps their clients stay ahead of the trends in the industry. This is a mobile role and will involve face-to-face meetings with new clients across the designated region as well as conversation via phone and e-mail. As this is a new position and a new business area for my client, there is great potential to be part of shaping this role.


Business Development Manager (m/f/d) – Media/ Marketing Agency

Düsseldorf / Permanent role / Hybrid


Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Growing the client base across the DACH region, focusing on new business development.
  • Working closely with your Business Development Executive to identify and qualify inbound leads as well as your own leads
  • Travelling to meet clients on-site, field sales (ca. 25%)
  • Providing on-site advisory services to clients
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Staying on top of the latest developments in the industry

Your qualifications:

  • Solid B2B sales/ new business development/ account management experience
  • Knowledge and experience within the media/ marketing agency landscape in Germany
  • Interest or previous experience in market research and market intelligence is of advantage
  • Have a consultative sales approach
  • Experience working with sales goals and targets
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Ideally Bachelor degree or equivalent education


You will be compensated with a competitive basic salary and with a generous, uncapped commission package on top. In other words, your success will be dependent on your hard work. You will also be working in an international-oriented team, working with offices across Europe with a lot of room to grow and develop within the organisation.
