Our client is an international and growing private academic institute for higher learning. They are growing their sales team in Germany and are looking for a Business Development Manager - Germany to join their office in Frankfurt am Main. The role is offered as a hybrid position and some travel is to be expected.

The Challenge

As the new Business Development Manager, it will be your responsibility to expand the market share throughout Germany. As an integral part of the sales team, you will be responsible for selling the executive education portfolio to corporate clients. This is a B2B sales role.

As a Sales driven individual you will:

  • Develop an understanding of the core education and academic portfolio
  • Research key accounts to assess and capitalize on business opportunities
  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders within the potential new business
  • Ongoing prospecting to obtain client meetings gained through cold calling and setting up of business meetings.
  • Planning and executing marketing campaigns within your region
  • Work closely with the product management team in order to put together custom made product solutions for your clients
  • Build a portfolio of satisfied clients


The Right Candidate

You will have a proven track record in Business Development and ideally have a consultative sales approach.

  • Experience of selling at a senior level and mapping business requirements across an organization
  • Interest in education, training and coaching
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify sales gaps
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Fluent German and English is essential
