Our client is currently looking for an exceptional Level 2 Development Support Engineer to join their Technical Support team providing efficient and accurate technical assistance to ensure complete customer satisfaction for our growing customer base of online video publishers.

The ideal candidate has a background in development and is a dedicated problem solver, passionate about rich media technologies, and a proven customer advocate. Our client is looking for an engineer who is highly motivated with strong technical experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills and high enthusiasm for customer success.

Responsibilities will include working directly with customers via phone and email to respond to technical issues, providing escalated technical and triage support for other team members, and actively contribute to our online community and knowledge database for up-to-date customer information and solutions.

The new Development Support engineer will also work closely with our client's Engineering, Product Management and QA teams to increase customer satisfaction by providing critical feedback and assistance for product enhancements.

As a member of the Technical Support team you would be part of a Global team interacting closely with Support offices in the US, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Singapore, South Korea and Japan, as well as with customers around the world.

Qualifications and Required Experience

*University degree in a technical discipline.
*At least one long-term work experience in online technical problem solving with a proven background in development focused on front-end technologies especially JavaScript , HTML, XML and CSS.
*Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus
*Proven analytical / problem solving ability
*Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively, both written and oral
*Demonstrated ability to lead and manage initiatives to completion.
*Proven ability to work with the team to quickly and calmly resolve technical issues.
*Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly.
*Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Independent, remote work is especially important this is a position that will be hybrid based or majority remote ( usually a couple of days in the office a month after training for the first month with several days a week in the office, this is to be discussed with your manager if you're successful ). For candidates based in France or Spain the position would require occasional travel to the London office.
*Required to be flexible, detail oriented and organized with the ability to multitask.
*On-call availability ( usually after 1 year , every 6-8 weeks,including additional remuneration)
*Fluent in English ( written and spoken ) with second language fluency in French, German, Spanish or Italian highly beneficial.

Technical Experience required/beneficial

*Solid understanding of internet technologies including browsers, networking, firewalls and proxy servers.
*Strong technology background with a comprehensive knowledge of Internet, Mobile and Digital Online Media technologies.
*Strong familiarity and experience with Front-End programming languages including JavaScript, HTML, XML and CSS.
*Familiarity or working knowledge of Java and /or experience in Android development is preferred but not essential.
*Knowledge of Rich Media applications and Mobile SDK development or testing.
*Familiarity working with REST APIs and supporting developers with API integrations.
*Any online video applications or ad serving experience is beneficial ( VAST , VPAID, VMAP)
*Any experience with Objective-C, PHP, Bash etc…
