Euro London Appointment's client , a leading innovator in Laboratory Information Systems for managing scientific and medical research laboratories (LIMS) , is currently looking for a talented Customer Support Engineer as part of their continuing expansion across the UK and EMEA.

This is a superb opportunity to join a fast growing market leader in their sector in 2022, interfacing with a diverse range of clients in the scientific and medical sectors.

You would be based in our client's Buckinghamshire office and become a key member of our client's Customer Support Team and their wider Professional Services Organization.

The role provides high quality technical applications support to our client's growing customer base in the UK and throughout EMEA - answering highly complex questions on function and usage of our products. It also serves to convey customer feedback to product development staff.

This is a diverse and involved role, which may also include the provision of some customer training courses and on site services. It's also a customer facing and collaborative role, therefore an outgoing personality and office presence 3-4 days a week is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Provide help-desk support to our client's customer base for our Laboratory Information Management Products (SQLims and LabVantage LIMS)
*Provide support diagnosis and fixes via telephone and on-line remote access to the customer system as required. Problems and queries will be logged and managed using our client's Database.
*Communicate and follow-up product faults with the company's support and software development teams in the US.
*Experience of working with Windows software packages and tools. Experience of Linux/Unix is desirable, but not essential.
*Provide internal support for our client's office WAN - Window PC's, NT servers, printers and e-mail.
*Keep abreast of product fixes and new releases.
*Provide product training classes to customers at our client's Milan training facility.
*Assist the implementation teams from time to time in setting up customer environments and building demonstration systems.


*A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Scientific or Computer related discipline.
*Experience with LIMS or Scientific/Life Sciences software is preferable but not essential.
*Fluent English (both written and spoken).Good verbal and listening skills and an excellent telephone manner. Other European languages are advantageous due to the international nature of our client's business, this includes French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Italian.
*Strong customer focus with the tenacity to pursue a problem to its resolution.
*Experience of working with Windows/NT-based software packages and tools.
* Strong knowledge of working with Java/jsp, and database understanding (Oracle/SQLServer).
*Ability to assimilate and analyze information and provide solutions to a diverse range of queries.
*Proven presentation/communication skills
