Financial Controller
Reutlingen – full-time – permanent – hybrid

My client, are seeking an experienced controller to lead and oversee their German accounting function, supporting two legal entities based in Reutlingen. This role holds overall responsibility for managing financial reporting, statutory compliance, US GAAP reporting, and Tax reporting for these entities. Additionally, the position involves ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements as a subsidiary of a US Public Company.

The Role:

• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as overseeing statutory and group audits for the two German legal entities
• Managing tax returns and filings through collaboration with third-party providers
• Overseeing and providing weekly cash forecasts to the corporate treasury analyst
• Leading and developing the German finance team to efficiently handle day-to-day activities
• Collaborating with operations team

The Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• Fluent in both German and English
• Expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and German GAAP, as well as SOX 404
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication, information technology, and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel across sites in Germany and occasionally internationally
