Sales Development Representative - 100% remote

Our client, a global ecommerce marketplace operating in over 40 countries across the world, is looking to strengthen its team in Germany. They are recruiting a Sales Development Representative to work alongside and support the Sales Manager DACH & Southern Europe. The role is offered as 100% remote, meaning you can be based from a home-office anywhere in Germany.

 

Sales Development Representative – DACH (m/f/d)

Permanent Position/ 100% remote in Germany

 

The Challenge

As the new Sales Development Representative for the DACH region you will report to and work closely together with the Sales Manager for DACH & Southern Europe. It will be your responsibility to help acquire new companies/ sellers that wish to use the e-commerce platform to sell their goods. The role includes both managing and qualifying incoming leads, as well as targeting key clients through outbound calling. The marketing team will support you by generating leads.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Proactively identify opportunities and contacts with new clients
  • Qualify and manage both warm and cold leads
  • Win new B2B clients/ sellers  
  • Maintain regular contact with accounts via phone/fax/e-mail
  • Monitor the progress of account development
  • With time also close your own leads and sales opportunities

 

The right candidate

As the new Sales Development Representative, you should ideally have the following qualifications:

  • Some first experience in for example inside sales, sales support, customer service, telemarketing, business development
  • Ideally university degree in Business or equivalent studies or relevant work experience
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Experience or interest in software, new technology, ecommerce is of advantage
  • A very good communicator
  • Fluent German and a very good level of English (any further European language is of advantage)
