Dutch, Danish, Czech, and Arabic Proofreaders (Gaming)

*3-4 month contract* (Opportunity to be extended/converted into permanent)

I am currently working with one of the world's leading gaming companies. They are currently seeking Dutch, Danish, Czech and Arabic speaking proofreaders/localizers to help adapt their games for international markets. You will ensure that in-game text, dialogue, and cultural references resonate authentically with target audiences while maintaining the original tone, style, and intent.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and localize in-game text, UI, scripts, and marketing materials
• Adapt cultural references, humour, and idioms appropriately for target regions
• Collaborate with writers, developers, and QA teams to ensure linguistic quality
• Maintain consistency with terminology and style guides
• Review and edit localized content to ensure accuracy and fluency
• Identify and report localization bugs or issues in-game

Requirements

• Rights to work in Spain
• Native-level fluency in either Dutch, Danish, Czech, or Arabic and strong proficiency in English
• Excellent attention to detail and cultural awareness
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• Some experience in either translation, proofreading, localizing.
• Interest in gaming.
• Knowledge of gaming terminology and trends would be beneficial.
• Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines
