Our client is an international technology company specialized in advanced manufacturing and recognized for its expertise in precision production technologies. The company designs both innovative equipment and customized components for clients in the industrial, medical, and aerospace sectors.They are looking to hire an English-speaking Field Service Engineer based in Switzerland to support installation, repair, and service of machines across several European countries.

You will work in a team of 8 engineers and report to the Customer Service Manager for Northern and Central Europe.

This position is home-based anywhere in Switzerland and involves extensive travel (approx. 90%) across Switzerland and Europe. This is a customer-facing role, ideal for someone dedicated to delivering full customer satisfaction throughout the installation, commissioning, and fine-tuning of newly purchased equipment. An intensive 2-week training program will be provided in the United States.

Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential for this role. German is a great asset. French is a plus.

 

Main Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair complex industrial equipment at customer sites.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure optimal system performance.

• Perform preventive maintenance and implement software and hardware upgrades.

• Provide technical guidance and basic user training to customers.

• Manage service documentation, spare parts coordination, and work orders in a timely manner.

• Deliver outstanding customer service while traveling extensively across the assigned region.

 

Key Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of experience in field service or maintenance of complex industrial equipment.

• Swiss electrical certification is required.

• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Fluency in English (German highly desirable; French is a plus).

• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.

• High flexibility and willingness to travel extensively.

 

Salary & Benefits

• Up to CHF 100,000/year depending on profile & experience (based on a 40-hour working week)

• Bonus: up to 4%, based on company targets
