Senior Network Engineer

Our client is an international technology company based in Belgium, operating in a highly innovative industrial environment with a strong global footprint.

They are currently looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join their EMEA IT team and take ownership of their Cisco enterprise network environment. This role is a key position within the regional IT structure and will play an important part in ensuring the performance, stability, and security of the company’s network infrastructure across multiple locations.

Reporting directly to the IT Director EMEA, you will work in close collaboration with local IT colleagues as well as international teams in the US, UK, and China.

This is a hands-on senior role, ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with autonomy, proactivity, and a practical mindset. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on both project-based network topics and day-to-day operational troubleshooting when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and operate enterprise-grade LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN infrastructures across a multi-site environment
• Implement and maintain network segmentation and NAC solutions (802.1X) to reinforce access control and overall network security
• Administer, troubleshoot and optimize Cisco firewall, switching, routing and wireless platforms
• Monitor network availability, capacity and performance, and lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network architecture, resiliency, security posture and operational standards

Key requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting and evolving enterprise-scale network environments
• A CCNP-level certification is required, ideally with a focus on network security
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching in production environments
• Proven exposure to NAC / 802.1X, wireless networking, and segmented network architectures in a global context
• Any experience with Azure networking and hybrid connectivity would be an asset
• Fluent English is essential. Dutch / Flemish is a strong plus.
