Global Sales Manager – Advanced Materials – Belgium
€90,000–€110,000 base + bonus + company car
Have you built new business around performance polymers or advanced materials in technically demanding, application-driven environments such as additive manufacturing, prototyping, tooling or casting?
Our client, an international leader in advanced manufacturing technologies and materials, is looking for a Global Sales Manager to develop new markets and applications for its materials portfolio.
Based in Belgium, this is a highly international and hands-on business development role combining technical sales, application development and new market creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Business Development: Identify and develop new customers, markets and commercial opportunities internationally.
- New Applications & Market Development: Identify new uses for advanced materials across industrial markets.
- Technical & Application Selling: Understand customer technical requirements and work closely with engineering, R&D and application teams to evaluate how materials can address specific performance needs.
- Opportunity Development: Manage opportunities from initial market mapping and technical qualification through material evaluation, trials, specification, commercial discussions and conversion into sustainable business.
- International Customer Engagement: Build relationships with industrial customers, partners, engineers and technical decision-makers across Europe and other international markets.
Profile
- Proven experience in international B2B sales, business development or market development
- Experience in application-driven industrial environments, ideally involving materials used in areas such as additive manufacturing, prototyping, tooling, casting or other high-performance applications
- Track record of developing new markets, new applications or new business, rather than solely managing an existing customer portfolio
- Comfortable discussing material performance, technical requirements, qualification processes and applications with engineers, R&D teams and industrial customers
- Experience with engineering thermoplastics, specialty polymers, resins, elastomers or similar advanced material systems may be relevant where combined with strong application-development experience
- Fluent English
- Willingness to travel internationally
Currently based in Belgium or able to relocate independently (visa/work permit sponsorship is not available for this position).
